Phil: Is your primer locked. Sounds like it's sucking fuel from the primer line. Do a vacume test on the line that attaches to the spider, or remove the line after the engine is primed and ready to run. Block the fitting tape or whatever you have laying around. As far as the mixture control, it would not matter if you threw all the parts in the garbage. It should still run ok. Wire the mixture full rich and leave it there forever. Let us know if the primer is the culprit. Ron
